Answer: YES!!! There's been ongoing talk about building permits....who needs them & what do we need them for.  Here is the information regarding this issue: Building permits are required for any new construction, alteration, demolition or removal of any building under section 1602 of the Edmunds County Zoning Ordinances. Section 1602:  "No building shall be erected, partially erected, moved, added to, or structurally altered without a permit therefore issued by the Zoning Officer.  No building permit shall be issued by the Zoning Officer except in conformity with the provisions of this Ordinance, unless he/she received a written order from the County Planning Commission in the form of an administrative review, conditional use, or variance as provided by this Ordinance". *If you are unsure of whether you need a building permit for your project contact the Edmunds County Courthouse @ 426-6841. Attention Property owners of Mina Lake You are encouraged to get involved with our "local" governments concerning Mina Lake residents!! Some meetings that concern you: * Mina Lake Association meetings.  These meetings are generally held the first Monday of each month @ 6:30 PM @ the Wakeside Bar & Grill.   Please check the website often for changes regarding any of these meetings and other information. * Mina Lake Sanitary District meetings are held monthly at the Mina Lake pumphouse. For dates and times contact an Association board member in your area. * Edmunds County Commission meetings are held twice throughout the month at the courthouse in Ipswich.
